Objective #1: Raise awareness about the need for volunteers in the Waco community 30% by December
15, 2012
Objective #2: Obtain more than $8,000 in donations by December 30, 2013 and increase funds 45% by end of the year to build a larger facility
Objective #3: Raise awareness about the need for student volunteers from Baylor University 70% by
the end of the year
Strategies
Strategy #1:
- Use the local news media to broadcast the need for volunteers in the community
- Use FFL’s social media sites to raise awareness about the need for volunteers from the community and Baylor University
• Use the Baylor Lariat and Baylor media outlets to raise awareness about the need for student volunteers
Strategy #2:
• Hold fundraising events to encourage donations
- Use an opinion leader as a gateway to create more publicity and draw people to major fundraising event
• Hold a craft market at the adult day care center to raise funds
Strategy #3:
- Use the local news media to broadcast the need for volunteers in the community
- Use FFL’s social media sites to raise awareness about the need for volunteers from the community and Baylor University
- Use the Baylor Lariat and Baylor media outlets to raise awareness about the need for student volunteers
Evaluation
• Track articles to measure the amount of media coverage for FFL
• Track social media presence
• Conduct surveys among Waco community and Baylor students to track an increase in awareness
• Keep records of all donations
