Guardianship

Guardians serve when a judge determines a person lacks capacity and there is no family member qualified and/or willing to care for them.



Money Managment 

​With the help of trained volunteers we intercede with creditors, help with budgets, assist with accessing benefits, balance checkbooks, reconcile bank statements and pay bills for our clients.



Independent Living

​Friends for Life (FFL)  oversees volunteers who help the elderly and people with disabilities continue to live in their own homes. Volunteers help by doing anything clients are no longer able to do for themselves. These duties include thing everything from yard work to minor household repairs and taking clients to their doctors appointments.



Quality of Life

We have dozens of programs to let clients know how special they are throughout the year. These programs include: Adopt a Grandparent, Telephone Reassurance, Friendly Visiting, Reading to the Blind or Visually Impaired, Gifts for Grannies & Grandpas, too, Friends for Thanksgiving, Gift Making & Craft, Programs, Pen Pals, Clown Ministry, Puppet Ministry, Pet Program, Music & Art, Entertainment and Birthday Cards



Intergenerational Programs

We have created dozens of intergenerational programs where adults and children can come together to learn from each other and love one another. 



Adult Day Care

FFL operates an adult day care center located at 5000 Lakewood in Waco. The day care is in the Meyer Family Intergenerational Center and is open from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. The day care provides a safe environment, for the elderly, nursing care, personal care, meals, transportation and fun activities for their clients.
